CAMPO VIEJO – SPANISH RIOJA
Great table wine. I’ve bared my soul to the wine. It bites back at you at first, but taste better the second (or even third) day.
Makes you think of drinking in some dive bars in Spain.
Goes well with – cold weather, big wooden tables, meaty things
Fun fact – this wine is classified as “crianza” In Spain, they also classify the wines in terms of aging. Crianza is the youngest, 1 year aging. “Reserva” has 3 years, and Gran Rerserva has 4 years. So if you prefer your Spanish wine a bit lighter, go with “crianza”
