FRANCO SERRA – GAVI – ITALIAN WHITE
Gavi – Never drink a Pinot Grigio if you can drink a wine from Cortese di Gavi, or Gavi for short. There are good Pinot Grigios out there, but there a lot that are mass produced and bland, just taking advantage of the name. Gavi is nice and dry, taste 100x better, and cost less.
Goes with – seafood, shellfish, pasta with said seafood and shellfish, relaxed fun.
Fun fact – Gavi is located the esteemed Piedmont area. Like the red wine Barbera also from Piedmont, you are getting wine from an exception region at a good price. Also worth mentioning, Gavi is also slightly fizzy.
