Yes, a repeat, I know. But well worth it. As mentioned before, Pinots generally do not get magical until you reach the $ 25 range. Below that is dicey. But not this one. Super smooth. Consider it a steppingstone (gateway?) to other Pinots.
Goes well with – just about anything. Duck is a classic pairing with Pinot.
Fun Fact – Willamette Valley is synonymous with Pinot Noir and Oregon, but you probably knew that. You also probably assumed that the Valley is named after some explorer from the Lewis & Clark era. However, a popular theory is the name Willamette comes from an extinct Native American word for “Valley of Sickness” due to the dampness of the area.
