I know Beaujolais has a well deserved mixed reputation, and buying a more commercial wine doesn’t help.
But try this wine. Super easy weeknight wine when you don’t want to spend too much.
Goes with – not a steak, and not shell fish, but most stuff in-between. Goes with not having to think too much about this wine. It’s so light it has been called, “the only white wine that happens to be red”
Fun fact – most people associate Beaujolais only with that stuff than comes out in November. That said wine started produced controversial wine in the early 2000s, allegedly with wine not from Beaujolais, and with added sugar. Quite the scandal!
But Beaujolais is more than that. It’s a region with easy going wines.
