Normally better value in Rioja, but damm this wine is good.

This famous brand is a great intro to Ribera de Duero wines, the other dominant region from Spain. It is a newer region, and more formal and modern than Rioja. If you like this wine, there are plenty of wines in the rejoin for you to explore.

Goes will with – lamb, cheese, drunken conversations….

Fun Fact – Ribera del Duero means “on the Duero’s riverbanks”. Duero is a river of course. It is a tongue twister for sure, so just call it “Ribera” like many locals do.
